Apple iMac 21.5 Review

Apple iMac 21.5 Review

Apple iMac 21.5 has an outstanding Full HD 1080P screen and a 21.5 Inch LED-backlit sRGB display that comes with an IPS technology with support for millions of colors.

Apple iMac 21.5 comes with an internal DDR-4 8GB RAM that is upgradeable. The previous iMac had soldered memory slots and weren’t upgradable at all. It has a 1TB (5400-rpm) hard drive. It also comes with a wireless and rechargeable Apple keyboard and mouse.

One good thing about this newer version is that the 2 Thunderbolt II ports on the previous versions are now replaced with two Thunderbolt III (USB-C) ports. And you will get the four USB 3.0 ports. Well some people may find this as a negative thing, but Thunderbolt II devices will become harder to find overtime since the industry is clearly moving to USB-C, so it’s a good thing. The iMac’s dimensions are 21.3 x 25.2 x 8.9 and yet it weighs only about 18.3 lbs., which is another reason that puts it on top of the heap.

Talking about performance, Apple iMac 21.5 is now faster and more powerful than ever, it’s equipped with a seventh-generation 2.3GHz dual‑core Intel Core i5 (Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz) processor and the latest high-performance Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 resulting as an effective performance upgrade. The exact performance of the Iris Plus Graphics 640 depends on the CPU model because maximum clock up to 3.6 GHZ on the processor as well as its L3 cache really helps push forward the graphical performance on this machine. The DDR4 RAM on this device will influence the performance of Intel Iris Plus as well. Apple has put the best combination of processor, graphics chip and memory into their mid-spec iMac machine.
